Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard could feature against Liverpool following an injury.
Manchester United were on a fine fettle until they met Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League Round of 16 under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. They have won ten games, drew one, and lost one under the management of the Norwegian who has brought back the scintillating attacking football back to Old Trafford.
Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, and Jesse Lingard have showcased their whole potential when Jose Mourinho decided to step aside from the club in mid-December. They have been scoring goals for fun and have a great understanding between them.
However, Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard were forced to be withdrawn when they facing Thomas Tuchel’s side due to injuries. The French International pulled out in the first half, whereas the academy graduate was replaced by Alexis Sanchez two minutes into the second half.
After the game, Solskjaer confirmed that the duo could miss at least a couple of weeks due to that injury they suffered on Tuesday. But, they have responded well to the treatment and have fastened up their recovery.
According to the Mirror, both Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard could feature in the Premier League clash against Liverpool on Sunday. However, they have no chance of featuring against Chelsea in the FA Cup on Monday.
Manchester United’s Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard could be fit for the match against Liverpool on Sunday, despite injury doubts.

Even though there have been plenty of reports about this story, it is pretty unclear about their return date to the training. Should they recover in time to face their arch-rivals, Liverpool, it will be a huge boost for Solskjaer who does not want to change his front four more too often.
With the front four on the song, there is every chance of causing serious problems to depleted Liverpool’s defence who are without Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren in the centre-back department.
The expected backline for the Red Devils opponents will be Trent Alexander Arnold, Joel Matip, Virgil Van Dijk, and Andy Robertson. Last year when these two sides met at Old Trafford, Jose Mourinho targetted the right side of the defence to score two goals within half of an hour of the game despite having two to three lucky decisions in their side.
There is no doubt that Jurgen Klopp will be well aware of Manchester United’s quality and will drill his players by keeping the full strength Red Devils squad. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will receive a huge psychological boost in their top four race if they manage to beat Liverpool on Sunday.
