Martin Odegaard rewarded with a big fish for bagging Real Sociedad’s player of the month award in the La Liga for his brilliant showing for La Real.
Martin Odegaard was once touted as a wonderkid for Real Madrid. However, he has been unable to breakthrough into their first team. Still quite young, the Norwegian has time to come true on his promise.

Real Madrid have loaned him to Real Sociedad where he will continue his development this season. The youngster can be called back anytime the club needs him. Conversely, the club can choose to extend his stay at Sociedad for another year; something that the club won’t mind, considering that he was recently named their player of the month.
Odegaard has been deployed as a central midfielder by Sociedad and the 21-year old has thrived in this position. It is his creativity with the ball and awareness of it, that has fetched his side 2 wins and a draw in 4 games.
Odegaard himself has scored 2 from the middle of the park while dominating the progression of the match. As a result of which, he has rightly been named Real Sociedad’s player of the month. However, how they chose to reward him is very bizarre and rather unusual.

One is normally presented with a bottle of champagne or an award. Sociedad however, decided to ensure Odegaard would continue to receive his vitamins. As a Norwegian though, it is likely that Odegaard appreciated the gesture.
