Real Madrid News: Keylor Navas’ cheeky wink at Thibaut Courtois after PSG’s win goes viral

Real Madrid News: Keylor Navas’ cheeky wink at Thibaut Courtois after PSG’s win goes viral. Los Blancos lost the match as the Parisians put 3 past the Belgian keeper.

Real Madrid’s torrid time refuses to end. The club were dismal last season and never looked good enough to win any of the competition they took part in. The new season was hope to bring in good tidings. For starters, Zinedine Zidane was bought back in.

The Frenchman returned to the club with the promise of full authority on the side. He made a number of purchases to help bolster the side. However, a disastrous showing in the pre-season seemed to hint at the tough time that was waiting them.

They have fared decently in the La Liga so far, winning 2 and drawing 2. However, when faced with a tough opponent in PSG, the side crumbled to their first loss of the season. It is not the loss that hurts but the manner in which it was caused.

Eden Hazard, one of the new recruits, came under the scanner for his abysmal showing last night. His Belgium teammate, Thibaut Courtois fared no better as he let past 3 goals with the first goal in particular landing him much criticism. There seemed to be one man on that seemed to enjoy the drubbing more than any other on or off the field.

After the conclusion of the match, Keylor Navas was caught by cameras cheekily winking at Courtois. The wink probably was everything he has ever wanted to say, balled up in one little action. Perhaps a nod to his vindication.

On his rivalry with Courtois, Keylor Navas said after the match:

“I did not leave Real Madrid because of that, I left because my family and I thought this was the best option for us. I was welcomed as if I had been here for a very long time.

“The best I can give is to defend these colours to the death, to work hard and to try to win important games.”

Navas may not say it outright, but surely it must’ve stung to be placed in the sidelines despite guarding the goal all through Real Madrid’s hat-trick of Champions League victories. Even then Florentino Perez constantly pursued David De Gea and only kept Navas when he failed to bring the Spaniard to the Santiago Bernabeu.
