Matthijs De Ligt: Ajax Skipper to earn unbelievable wage at Juventus as move inches closer

Matthijs De Ligt is set to earn ludicrous wages at Juventus as the move inches closer.

Matthijs De Ligt looks certain to join Juventus from Juventus. The fee is set to be £70 million, but his salary is just immoderate for a young footballer.

The Dutch International was surrounded by the likes of Barcelona, Paris Saint Germain, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, and Liverpool. Although, he has turned them down in favour of a move to Juventus. It has been that kind of negotiation with the above-mentioned five clubs refused to meet his demands.

Moreover, his agent Mino Raiola has demanded more commission fees which have infuriated the clubs. According to the reliable Fabrizio Romano, Matthijs De Ligt and Juventus have agreed on personal terms. The Ajax Skipper is set to earn €24m, plus additional performance wages. The offer would see him earn £270,000 a week with add-ons increasing his possible earnings to £415,000 a week.

Additionally, the Italian side are also hoping to conclude the deal around £70 million. Following the UEFA Nations League final, Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly told the defender to join Juventus which would have increased the player’s yearning.

Albeit the agreement between the parties, Paris Saint Germain have not given up on their chase. The French outfit were told by heading the race at a point, but Juventus have now eclipsed the talks and have offered more than the French side. The PSG sporting director, Leonardo, is still in contact with the Dutch club as well as Raiola, trying to convince them to sell to the Ligue 1 club instead.

Juventus are also in talks with Gianluigi Buffon for a possible comeback. The Italian International is ready to play as understudy to Wojciech Szczesny, knowing that his career might come to an end soon.
