Sergej Milinkovic Savic linked with a £131m move to Old Trafford

Many eyes were Segrej Milinkovic-Savic as he took on the field against Costa Rica in Serbia’s first match of the World Cup. And he obliged to the hype over his technical abilities and technical abilities, as he was central to Serbia 1-0 win.

While many Manchester United fans, after the game, took to social media to urge the club to sign the midfielder, SportItalia, quoted by Sky Sports, reports that the club is already considering a bid for the player.

According to the Italian outlet, Manchester United are keen on making a move for Savic, and that the deal could amount to £131 million.

The Serbian midfielder has been one of the most pivotal figures for Lazio in the last season. Savic appeared in 35 Serie A games for the club, scoring 12 goals. In 48 appearances over the season, he scored 15 goals.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has been a hot property in the transfer market so far, as the midfielder is also monitored by Arsenal and Real Madrid.

Lazio, on the other hand, are happy to play the waiting game, as impressive performances in the World Cup may further increase his transfer value.

Serbia will play their next two matches against Brazil and Switzerland.
