McLaren have announced a partnership with Coca-Cola, making it the first time that the beverage brand is seen on a Formula 1 car. Thus, McLaren is sure to have some very lively livery for the remaining 4 races.
Branding will be visible on the car and on the gear of Vandoorne, Alonso and Norris.
According to the statement issued by McLaren, Coca-Cola would be promoting itself and its sub-brands. A lot of the focus will be on its sub-brands Dasani Sparkling and SmartWater, especially during the final 3 grand prix.
McLaren CEO, Zak Brown is thrilled to have such a prestigious brand on board, and help them explore sponsorship opportunities in Formula 1.
“Coca-Cola has a rich history of sponsorship and a record of innovative activations and we are honoured the company has chosen to partner with McLaren to explore opportunities in Formula 1. Formula 1 as a sport is changing, as are we as a team, and we’re looking forward to introducing Coca-Cola to the potential that our team and fantastic, global sport represents.” Zak Brown said.

For Coca-Cola this is an opportunity to connect with the youth in a new way, one where the get a chance to experience this high-octance sport for themselves and then see how the consumers(or the F1 audience) interacts with Coca-Cola through the sport and through this association.
“We are looking forward to this activation with McLaren, both our companies are innovators, and we are both looking to further connect with youth. This partnership will guide us to what our customers, markets and consumers are craving from this high octane passion.” said Ricard Fort, VP, Sports Partnerships at Coca Cola.

McLaren is sure to come up with some nice liveries for the last few grand prix and spice up the season in a different way on the track.
McLaren would hope that they don’t have too many DNFs in the final few races.
