McLaren reveal 'Coca Cola' rear wing on Facebook, delete it later

McLaren have a massive task on their hand for the 2019 season, having underperformed in the last few seasons.

Fernando Alonso bid the team(and the sport) farewell after last season, as he was growing more and more frustrated by the lack of reliability and pace of the McLaren package.

Now, the McLaren team has been working tirelessly in order to ensure that the 2019 season isn’t another one wherein they are languishing in midfield without any proper surge towards being in the top 3.

Zak Brown has announced that the 2019 McLaren car is going to be a ‘very different one’ and he hopes that with the new aerodynamic rules kicking in, McLaren can once again find itself amongst the F1’s elite.

Their first target would be catching up on Red Bull, which is a little off pace as compared to Mercedes and Ferrari.

Red Bull, with their new Honda engine(one that McLaren gave up on) will need some time to adjust to the new machine and could be vulnerable especially in the first half of the season.

Now, while all of this can only be assessed when the cars get out on track in Barcelona for winter testing. So, before that all that can be found out about the car is its livery and overall appearance.

McLaren have been teasing fans about their 2019 car for some time now, having released a sneak peek into the 2019 car styling yesterday.

Now, McLaren are scheduled to release their car on 14th february.

McLaren changed their facebook cover photo today, but later deleted the photo.

Zak Brown had confirmed that new sponsors were coming in for the 2019 season and Coca Cola is visible on the rear wing. Also, the nose seems pretty narrow.

The rest of the livery should be papaya like just like last year. Or maybe Coca-Cola finds a spot on the sidepods too?
