Barcelona’s transfer activity so far has been quite underwhelming to say the least.

They initially focused all their attention on buying Marco Verratti from PSG. The Italian star was reportedly very interested in making the switch, but for some reason both clubs have been unable to make a breakthrough.

Their second choice was Ander Herrera. But the Spaniard’s impressive performances for Manchester United mean that Barcelona have next to no chance of signing the midfielder.

For a long time, Barcelona courted Hector Bellerin from Arsenal. They believed that Bellerin would be able to fill the void that Dani Alves has left at right back.

But Arsene Wenger has told Bellerin in no unconditioned terms that he will not be sold to Barcelona, as Wenger believes that Bellerin is a crucial part of Arsenal’s present and future.

Barcelona have seemingly conceded defeat as well, with an agreement close to being made with Benfica’s Nelson Semedo.

The only positive for Barcelona was that they were able to sign their talisman Lionel Messi on a long term contract.

But now it looks like Messi and Neymar have requested the Barcelona board to sign Dele Alli from Tottenham.

Both superstars are huge fans of the English boy, and believe that he would fit in perfectly with the Catalan club.

Recently it was reported that Bayern Munich had inquired about Alli’s signature and were asked to pay at least 100 million for the talented midfielder.

Let’s see if Barcelona have better luck that!
