Dirk Kuyt comes out of retirement for the Quick Boys
Dirk Kuyt is a hero, a hero who needs to be celebrated every single day. The former Liverpool star is coming out of retirement in order to help the Quick Boys secure promotion to the third tier of Dutch Football.
Dirk Kuyt is the assistant manager for the Quick Boys but is now coming out of retirement to help the Quick Boys win the title in the Derde Divisie, as the Quick boys currently sit on the second spit, 5 points off the top.
Only the champions will be slated for promotion into the second division.
The ‘Quick Boys’ is Kuyt’s boyhood club, having joined it when he was just 5 years old.
Kuyt will be with the team until the end of the season, and the club is already trying everything to help Kuyt be at ease and be at home.
Kuyt had had a huge argument with Striker Yordi Teijsse during a league match and the Quick Boys have now set him away for the rest of the season.
Kuyt’s first game would be against Groningen II on Saturday.
Kuyt and Quick Boys would be hoping that he can help the team get that much needed promotion and Kuyt’s industrial nature and experience could help Quick Boys do that.
The Liverpool legend has also been named the Feynoord U-19 manager. starting from next season.
it is lovely to see that Kuyt, who had retired last year after his title win with Feynoord, has the hunger to come out of retirement and help his boyhood club achieve promotion. A beautiful gesture and hopefully it comes off well for both Kuyt and Quick Boys
