Mesut Ozil has decided to stay at Arsenal despite seeking an adventure for a short span of time.
Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has decided to stay put at Arsenal despite the rumours rumbling that the German could leave the Emirates should a suitable offer be placed on the table, according to ESPN FC. Instead of going out on loan, he has decided to fight for a place.
The 30-year-old has struggled to find his feet under Unai Emery and has been left out of the team on some of the biggest occasions this term. Earlier this year, it has been reported that the former Real Madrid star has accepted a lucrative deal from the Gunners to stay for another three years.

But, some of the performances he has put in has cast doubts among the supporters. When he was dropped from the squad against Tottenham Hotspur in the League Cup Quarter Finals, the Spaniard quoted that it’s down to the tactics in the post-match press conference.
Aftermath his back injury, he was picked to start against Brighton and Hove Albion away from home. But, he was taken off at the halftime after he was entirely fizzled out by the opponents during the first 45 minutes.
Many sources said that he picked up an injury, and will not travel to Liverpool but Emery revealed that he would still take part in that game. But, in the post-match press conference, he said that the German picked up a knee injury during the last game week.
It has not gone according to the script for the former Schalke midfielder who was forced to pull out from the training for more than two weeks after getting addicted to the famous video game Fortnight.
A website named ‘Wasted on Fortnight’ has reported that Ozil has played 5221 games, in the video game so far, equating to 72 days worth of time. He was blamed for playing games this much longer which has injured his back.

Various source report that there have been some tactical discrepancies between the two which is keeping Ozil out for the team for a while. Arsenal manager wants him to press high up the pitch and win the ball back, which Ozil is not known for.
The Gunners have played 29 games this term, but the midfielder has been able to start only 13 games this term. Just when reports started creeping up that Ozil might seek a new adventure to get proper game time and flourish, it has been dismissed.
With Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Danny Welbeck in the sidelines, Unai Emery would ideally want to rotate the striker duo Alexander Lacazette and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang.
But, due to the dip in form of Ozil, he is forced to play the Gabonese International through the flanks, and Lacazette through the middle.
For stopgap, Unai Emery might opt to stick with Mesut Ozil. Things might change during the summer window when the Spaniard looks to clean out some of them to bring in some players who would suit his philosophy.
The Gunners will take on their London arch-rivals Fulham at the Emirates on Tuesday.
