Curacao side comprised of Premier League footballers including Leandro Bacuna, Cuco Martina, and many other players who fare in top European leagues. On the other hand, India are taking baby steps and are looking to improve the game more than anything else.
Igor Stimac has reiterated that he is witnessing this job as a long-term project and wants to get the best possible output from the players. There was a glimpse when Indian tried to penetrate in Curacao’s box, but failed. It was an indication that he is trying to install his own philosophy to strive for success.
The backline looked shambles and were not able to execute basic defending to keep them in check. Two goals came when the defender came off the line to win the duel, but failed to effectuate it properly. The whole organization needs time, although Stimac will be hoping for a positive result against Thailand to reap much-needed confidence.
