Liverpool romped to yet another victory in the Premier League; Their 16th in 17 matches. They have now widened the gap between themselves and defending Champions Manchester City to 17 points and they have Mohamed Salah to thank for that.

Jurgen Klopp’s men were far from explosive or convincing. To put it simply, they were lacklustre this evening, However, true to their brand of football, they dug their heels and fought their way to add 3 points to their tally.
Watford had several chances in the match but it was Liverpool who took theirs and that was the difference between both the sides. Mohamed Salah, who had already produced a blinder early on in the match, took Liverpool to safety with a cheeky goal in the 90th minute.

Liverpool bought the ball forward to the opposition box in search for their second goal. He picked out Divock Origi, who had come in for Roberto Firmino, but he miss-hit his shot. The ball found its way to Salah, who then deftly flicked the ball into the net with a brilliant backheel.

The points difference between Liverpool and all the other teams in the Premier League has now reached double figures. A maiden Premier League title looks a certainty at this point unless Liverpool defy logic and fall short yet again.
Jurgen Klopp will realise that a performance like today would have been severely punished against another side. He will hope to produce a better performance when they take to the Premier League immediately after Christmas against Leicester City.
