Mohammad Shami receives arrest warrant over row with wife

Mohammad Shami receives arrest warrant: The right-hand Indian fast bowler has once again landed into trouble over a pending case.

India fast bowler Mohammed Shami has received an arrest warrant over a pending case of domestic violence. The 28-year old cricketer has 15 days to surrender and apply for a bail.

Shami’s wife Hasin Jahan had accused him of domestic violence under IPC Section 498A last year. The couple seemed to have several differences between them. Several developments had seen their fall-out become a public event.

Following plentiful allegations and arguments between the couple, Shami didn’t appear before the court following which the Alipore Court gave the order. With the latest development being made, it seems as if Shami will have to appear before the court.

It is worth mentioning that Hasin Jahan was taken into custody by Uttar Pradesh Police earlier this year when she had created a fracas outside Shami’s house in Amroha.

Shami is currently playing for India in the second Test of the ongoing tour of West Indies. If not tonight, the last Test of the series will get over by tomorrow.

“I hope everything remains fine. Whatever is the outcome, I am ready to face it. Cricket life mein hai to sab kuch hai [cricket remains everything in life]. That is the only thing I am bothered about. I don’t care about the allegations or what will happen eventually. Right now, I am not thinking even zero percent about it. I won’t let it affect me,” Shami had said in an interview with India Today earlier this year.
