MS Dhoni becomes brand ambassador of Dream11

MS Dhoni has been keeping busy ahead of the IPL season, as the former Indian skipper has now become the brand ambassador of Dream11.

“I am delighted to associate with Dream11 – because it gives millions of sports fans an opportunity to be the decision maker, create their own team and experience the game first-hand,” Dhoni was quoted of saying by the release.

This is a huge coup for the Dream11 team, as MS Dhoni is someone who is widely known for his tactical nous and brilliant cricketing mind.

Widely accepted as one of the best captains of his time, Dhoni is a hugely respected figure in the cricketing world. The only Indian captain to win two World Cups, MS Dhoni has been a role model for millions all over the country.

Speaking recently to the press, Indian head coach Ravi Shastri has said that Dhoni will go down as one of the greatest ODI batsmen of all time.

“He’ll (Dhoni) go down as one of the greatest one-day players the world has ever seen. And when you have that kind of experience, the level of fitness and what he’s maintained.

“And like I said, there is no substitute for experience. That cannot be bought or sold in the market,” Shastri told India Today.

“When it comes to finishing a game or batting in the final overs, there have been very few better than him in the history of the game.

“When you have that cushion of someone like him coming at No. 5, 6 or even 7 it makes a big big difference,” Shastri added.
