MS Dhoni century vs Bangladesh: Twitter hails Dhoni after his magnificent innings in 2nd warm-up match

MS Dhoni century vs Bangladesh: Twitter was exhilarated on watching the Indian wicket-keeper batsman’s magnificent century.

During the ongoing warm-up match for the ICC Cricket World Cup between Bangladesh and India and Cardiff, former India captain and current wicket-keeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni scored an exceptional century to propel India to 359/7 in their allotted quota of 50 overs.

Coming in to bat at No. 6 in the 23rd over, Dhoni once again put India from a spot of bother to a formidable position. The veteran cricketer stitched a 164-run partnership for the fifth wicket alongside middle-order batsman Lokesh Rahul.

On the second ball that he faced, Dhoni scored a boundary off Rubel Hossain to get off the mark. It was also the time when Rahul had started to go after the opposition bowlers. What came as refreshing for both the team management and the Indian fans was watching Dhoni not taking too much time to get his eye in.

Accused of consuming a lot of deliveries of late, Dhoni made sure that he revolved the strike on a regular basis. On the first delivery of the 32nd over, Dhoni displayed first signs of aggression when he hit off-spinner Mehedy Hasan Miraz for a six down the ground.

Having tasted blood once, Dhoni was then seen frequently hitting boundaries. On the first delivery of the 37th over, Dhoni hit a four off Mosaddek Hossain to complete his half-century. The shot was followed by a towering six to send the ball out of the stadium.

The 37-year old cricketer remained unperturbed with Rahul’s dismissal in the 44th over. By this time, Dhoni was himself eyeing a century which he eventually completed on the first ball of the penultimate over by hitting a six off Abu Jayed.

Before getting out in the last over, Dhoni ended up scoring 113 (78) with the help of eight fours and seven sixes.
