BCCI Chairman of Selectors MSK Prasad admitted that MS Dhoni is the No.1 wicket-keeper in world cricket today.

Just a couple of months ago, MSK Prasad said the wicketkeeper-batsman is no more an automatic selection in One-Day International format.
That did not go down too well with Indian cricket fans, as Mahi’s huge legion of fans condemned Prasad’s ludicrous statement.
But India’s legendary captain is not one to pay much heed to his critics, as Dhoni has time and again proved them wrong.
MSK Prasad confirmed that MS Dhoni will be India’s first-choice wicket keeper until the next World Cup 2019. According to Prasad, they will start nurturing the wicket keepers in the later stages.

“We are grooming some wicketkeepers during India A tours. But more or less, we have fixed up (our) minds till the World Cup (on continuing with Dhoni) and after that, at later stages, we will start grooming some of those (wicketkeepers),” MSK Prasad said as per PTI inputs.
Speaking highly of MS Dhoni, MSK Prasad believes MS Dhoni is still a top-notch wicket-keeper in world cricket. “I think MS Dhoni still remains the No 1 wicket-keeper in the world and day in and day out we have been saying this.”
While Dhoni had an indifferent time earlier this year, his performances against Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka have re-affirmed his status as India’s safest bet behind the stumps.
“In the current T20 series (against Sri Lanka), the stumpings he has effected and caught-behind he has taken are phenomenal,” MSK Prasad spoke highly of MS Dhoni.
“There is no comparison and I don’t see any wicket-keeper, who can even come closer to him in world cricket, leave alone Indian Cricket,” MSK Prasad added.
