Just like Hendrick Motorsports driver Kyle Larson, the Richard Childress Racing driver Kyle Busch is no stranger to racing in the dirt. Only recently, he picked up his second consecutive win in the SRX Series. However, there are times when no matter how good you run in the dirt, things don’t always go to plan.

Recently, Busch raced at the 35th Annual Wood Tic at Merritt Speedway driving Late model cars. But as much as he would have loved to run at the top of the field, he was not able to perform well. Following the race, Busch sent out a tweet appreciating Larson after the latter won at another dirt race in the World of Outlaws series.
Kyle Busch appreciates Kyle Larson for epic dirt win
Larson had participated in the World of Outlaws event at the Federate Auto Parts Raceway on the same day as Busch raced in Merrit. Despite facing tough competition from the likes of Brad Sweet and Logan Scuchart, he emerged victorious.
Confirmed… I’m no Kyle Larson. Struggled hard tonight but thanks to Merritt Spwy and all the fans for pilling in the stands!

Following the race, Kyle Busch, who had a rather disappointing race himself in another series, mentioned, “Confirmed… I’m no Kyle Larson. Struggled hard tonight, but thanks to Merritt Spwy and all the fans for pilling in the stands!“
Larson has often exhibited his masterful race craft while racing on dirt surfaces. Therefore, it was no wonder that the HMS driver was able to conquer the race at I-55. It is also interesting to see Kyle Busch mentioning that he was not as good as Larson. Despite not being able to win, Busch appreciated that the fans had come down to watch him race.
Tony Stewart also thinks Kyle Larson is a really good driver
It’s not only Busch who mentioned that he was not like Larson when it came to racing across series, earlier even the former NASCAR driver, Tony Stewart had also mentioned a similar thing. Smoke, who has been close with the 2021 Cup Series champion, had mentioned, “The incredible thing about Kyle is that most drivers have to really think about what they’re doing as they do it. Kyle? He’s plug-and-play, man. You just plug him in the car, send him off and he’ll figure it out very naturally.”
Aside from this, Stewart had also once mentioned how he regretted not signing Larson before he went off to Hendrick Motorsports. But eventually, everything worked out for Larson, although considering how much Larson appreciated Stewart’s role in his early career, seeing him in SHR would be a dream come true for Smoke.
