“#1 Isn’t a Debate Anymore. It’s Giannis Antetokounmpo”: Shannon Sharpe Declares the Bucks MVP As Best in the World After 45/22/7 Outing

The Milwaukee Bucks are looking to be in slight trouble. Entering yesterday night’s clash against the Bulls, Mike Budenholzer’s boys were 0-3 in their last 3 games. Blowing away a 15-point lead, the 2021 champs were handed yet another huge loss. Despite the Wisconsin-based franchise’s 119-113 overtime loss against Chicago, it was a huge night for Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Tying his season-high of 45 points, the Greek Freak further recorded 22 rebounds and 7 assists in 42:15 minutes of action.

Shannon Sharpe commends Giannis Antetokounmpo for a stellar performance

Giannis became the first player to record a 45/20 game since… Luka Doncic’s performance on Tuesday night.

Even though the Bucks lost their 4th straight game, Shannon Shape couldn’t stop complimenting the 2-time MVP. The “UNDISPUTED” analyst mentioned that while the top 5 current NBA players is debatable, the debate for the best player is not even a conversation. Calling the future HOFer the best player, Sharpe wrote:

Giannis has a 40-20-5 gm with 3 mins left in the 4th. We can debate who’s in the top 5, but #1 isn’t a debate anymore. It’s Giannis.

Giannis’ chances at winning a 3rd MVP

This year’s MVP race couldn’t have been more interesting. The likes of Jayson Tatum, Nikola Jokic, Luka Doncic, and Kevin Durant, alongside Giannis, are all frontrunners to be the recipient of the debut Michael Jordan Trophy.

However, what is the Bucks leader’s chances of being an MVP for the third time?

Giannis is currently averaging 31.7 points, 11.6 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game. Further, he is on track to become only the 2nd player ever to record 30/10/5 on 50 FG% in a season after Wilt Chamberlian.

Being on the #1 spot of the latest NBA MVP Ladder, as the Bucks keep winning games, Antetokounmpo will definitely solidify his case for the MVP honors.
