“$100,000 on Portland Trail Blazers to win the West”: Charles Barkley brutally trolled for his bizarre wager after the Damian Lillard and co lose to Denver Nuggets
The Blazers crashed out of the NBA playoffs after losing Game 6 to the Denver Nuggets, leaving Charles Barkley with another lost bet.
The Portland Trailblazers recently crashed out of the first round in the playoffs after losing Game 6 to the Denver Nuggets 115-126. While Nikola Jokic and company finished off the series with a scoreline of 4-2, it was much closer than that.
Even on Game 6, Damian Lillard and his men started strongly but gradually fizzled out as the game went onto the fourth quarter. Jokic who is up for MVP conversations dropped a mammoth 36 points game high along with six assists and eight boards.
Players like Michael Porter Jr. and Monte Morris also played great supporting roles in a stellar win. Lillard also had a decent game with a stunning double double as he dropped 28 points along with 13 assists, but it was not enough to inspire Terry Stotts’ men to come up with a win.
The Trail Blazers even throughout the regular season have been very hot and cold and that is an area where they fell short against a well balanced Denver side led by the “Joker’. Consistency has always been an area of concern for the Blazers along with their defense.
“I want a hundred thousand dollars on the Portland Trail Blazers to win the West”: Charles Barkley
However after the Blazers were knocked out, the Inside crew at NBA on TNT played a video where NBA analyst Charles Barkley was ready to make a wager of $100,000 on the Blazers to win the Western Conference at the start of the season.
“This is my first bet,” Barkley said. “I want a hundred thousand dollars on the Portland Trail Blazers to win the West.”

The video was welcomed with a lot of smiles and giggles at the studio. But it is clear that Chuck has gradually grown fond of the Portland Trail Blazers in recent years.
The NBA Legend also made a bizarre prediction last season at the bubble in Orlando when he
chose the eighth seed Portland Trail Blazers to win against the first seed Los Angeles Lakers. The series ended 4-1 with the Lakers eventually winning the NBA Championship.
For now, Barkley will thank his stars that he did not go ahead with the wager as it would have been a heavy loss to swallow.
