24 Years After 'NBA's Most Disrespectful Dunk', Shaquille O'Neal Shines Light On 7'3 Victor Wembanyama Getting Posterized By Kai Jones

As one of the greatest dunkers of the basketball ever, Shaquille O’Neal knows a little something about posterizing opponents. The Lakers legend built a reputation off of breaking rims and backboards. Therefore, when he saw 7ft 3” Victor Wembanyama on the receiving end of a nasty slam, Shaq couldn’t help but share it on his Instagram.

The big man dunked the ball 2,626 times during his time in the NBA. However, when it comes to being dunked on, he once revealed that he only let it happen on three occasions throughout his career. Unfortunately for Wembanyama, it doesn’t seem like his tally is going to be as low as that of Shaq.

Wemby has a target on his back right from the jump because of the insane hype around his Draft. Therefore, in his NBA debut, things didn’t go very well for him.

Playing a little over 27 minutes, he recorded just 9 points, 8 rebounds, 5 blocks and 3 assists. The rookie also shot just 2 of 13 (15.4%) from the field and 1 of 6 (16.7%) from beyond the arc.

However, the misery for the young Frenchman doesn’t end there. During the game, he was given his ‘welcome to the NBA’ moment by Kai Jones. And it was by no means a pretty one.

Despite being much shorter than Wemby, Jones caught a lob jumping over the French rookie during an inside play. The 19-year-old made a desperate attempt to block the shot. But it was too late.

The Hornets star slammed it in for a monster jam, leaving Wemby completely confused.

As mentioned before, Shaq shared the clip on his Instagram stories.

Unfortunately for Wemby, the Hornets weren’t in the mood to let him off the hook easily. Second-overall pick, Brandon Miller also put Wembanyama in an embarrassing situation during a one-on-one play.

The Hornets star put him on skates with a brilliant double move.

Overall, it was a tough day at the office for Wembanyama, one that he will be looking to forget as soon as possible.
