NBA Free Agency is just around the corner and a lot of players will be looking to sign new deals. But, perhaps the one player everyone is focused on is Kyrie Irving. Uncle Drew has a huge $272,900,000 decision to make about his future. Reports suggest the Dallas Mavericks are keen to sign him to a five-year deal. It’s a massive offer and one that Irving seems to be contemplating over in New York. A Twitter video shows him at Rucker Park, an iconic location where Kobe Bryant displayed his dominance 21 years ago.

Kyrie’s relationship with Rucker Park goes way back. His movie, Uncle Drew was set here because of its historic importance to New York’s basketball culture. It is also the location where the Black Mamba balled out in 2002, dominating opponents just weeks after winning a three-peat with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Kyrie Irving spotted at Rucker Park as $272,900,000 decision looms over his head
Rucker Park stands as an iconic streetball mecca, where the essence of basketball culture thrives. Its legendary reputation stems from hosting exhilarating streetball games, attracting aspiring talents and even NBA superstars seeking to showcase their skills.
One of the many legendary figures to grace the courts of Rucker Park was Kobe Bryant. And, considering that Bryant was a mentor of sorts to him, Kyrie Irving decided to pay a visit. However, the Maverick’s star wasn’t there to ball out, but rather to relax. In addition, he brought along his family, as he was seen pushing a stroller.
It would seem as though Kyrie is enjoying the off-season with his family. But, it is hard to forget that he has a $272,900,000 contract decision to make. And, while it does look like he is taking his sweet time, fans around the world will be waiting with bated breath.

Hopefully, his visit to Rucker Park will inspire Irving to make his decision soon. Several teams would love to enlist Kyrie’s services. However, Dallas seems the more likely option, especially considering they can offer a whopping $60 million more than any other team.
The Dallas Mavericks should be able to secure Kyrie’s signature
With free agency about to hit the NBA, several top superstars will become available to the league’s 30 teams. One of them is Kyrie Irving, who is sure to attract a lot of interest. And, as things stand, the 2016 NBA Champion has two options ahead of him, both of which can net him upwards of $200 million.
Given his skill and ability, Irving is likely to receive a four-year deal at the minimum. Of the 30 teams, 29 of them can offer him a total of $210.11 million. The exception is the Dallas Mavericks. Seeing as they have retained his Bird rights, the Mavs can offer Kyrie a five-year deal worth $272.92 million.
It is highly likely that Irving will take up the Mavs’ offer. The idea of him forgoing an extra $60 million is hard to imagine. Hopefully, his signature can help propel Dallas back into the Playoffs.
