“All that s**t talking about me and my former teammates”: Nets star Kyrie Irving blasts NBA media for their negative portrayal of his relationship with the Celtics

Kyrie Irving hugs his former Celtics teammates following a win over them, rips on the media postgame for negatively portraying him.

The Brooklyn Nets faced off against the Celtics last night in both teams’ first games back from the All-Star break. The Celtics looked to carry their 4-game win streak forward. But due to careless late turnovers from Jayson Tatum, the Nets pulled away for the relatively comfortable 121-109 win.

Kyrie Irving seemed to have not missed a beat coming off the All-Star break as he dropped an efficient 40-piece to lead all players in scoring. Following the game, Kyrie seemed to be in high spirits while exchanging pleasantries with his former Celtics teammates. He made it a point to greet nearly each and every one of the Celtics players he spent two full seasons with.

Following the game, Kyrie took to his postgame presser to address some of the rumors surrounding his ‘tainted’ relationship with his former teammates across the league.

Kyrie Irving goes off on reporters for pushing a negative narrative

Much can be said about Kyrie Irving’s departures from his two former teams, the Cavaliers and the Celtics. Reports of a distressed and ‘on-edge’ locker room were quite nearly the norm for any locker room that had prominently featured Irving.

However, following the Nets win over the Celtics last night, Irving threw these claims out the window by addressing them directly to a reporter that pointed out he hugged the Celtics postgame. “Big surprise huh? All that s—t talking about me and all the relationships I have with every teammate of mine”

Irving further added that he has great relationships with players all across the league and is solely focused on trying to claim his second championship. Kyrie seems to be on good terms with his former teammates.
