Bronny James is going through a lot right now as he is about to start college at USC soon. Becoming the first of his family to go to college, Bronny is in unchartered territory right now. With things being tough, LeBron James’ eldest turned to one of his childhood idols, Kobe Bryant.

Tuesday night, the former Sierra Canyon guard took to Instagram to share a story of The Black Mamba destroying players on the court in his Purple and Gold uniform.

The post shared on Bronny’s story contained a graphic captioned, “No one in today’s NBA could do this.” It also contained a video of some of the toughest moves from Kobe’s illustrious career with the Lakers. From the tough move over Manu Ginobili to him cooking LeBron James, it was a beautiful throwback to Kobe’s brilliance.
Bronny honoring Kobe isn’t new. Back when he was at Sierra Canyon, young James and his teammates once wore Kobe 6 Grinch to honor the Lakers legend. However, it could also be to divert all the attention “LeBron to Mavs” is getting right now.
Bronny James might be sending a message to LeBron James
As of late, the LeBron James to Dallas rumors are at an all-time high. Recently, Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium broke the news about Kyrie Irving’s attempt to get James to Dallas. Following that, the internet was on fire with rumors and possible trade packages between the Mavericks and the Lakers.
Sources: Kyrie Irving has reached out to Lakers star LeBron James in attempts to see if James would come to Dallas. Irving is a free agent this offseason.

If it does happen, it will be tough for the James family to live together in their LA mansion, in which LeBron, Savannah, and their 3 kids have been living for 5 years now. Shifting to Dallas might make the King’s title chances stronger, but is surely going to dent his pocket endorsements-wise.
Maybe this Kobe clip was a way for Bronny to send a message to his dad, or maybe it was just him honoring arguably the greatest Laker of all-time.
