Ever since Andre Drummond set foot in the NBA as a young 19-year-old, he instantly became one of the best rebounding centers in the league. During his days with the Detroit Pistons, Andre was surely a top-class player, appearing in 2 All-Star Games, getting selected in an All-NBA team and winning the rebounding title 4 times. However, over the last couple of years, Drummond’s production has really fallen down and is not the same deadly player he once was.
After leaving the Pistons, the 6-foot-10 big man was acquired by the Cavaliers and then joined LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers mid-way into the 2020-2021 season. Of course, with the Lakers disappointing failure of a season, Andre’s title aspirations went down the drains. The former UCONN Husky himself didn’t manage to live up to the Lakers’ expectations and ended with 11.9 points, 10.2 rebounds and 1 block in the 21 games he played for the 2020 NBA Champions.
After a disappointing stint at LA, Andre Drummond has decided to part ways with LBJ and co. and join Eastern Conference powerhouse – Philadelphia 76ers. For those who don’t know, Andre Drummond and Philly’s MVP, Joel Embiid have a long-time beef going on. On several instances during the course of their careers, both these big men have gotten into physical and verbal altercations while even taking their petty fights to their individual social media accounts.
