"Anthony Davis is More Skilled Than Giannis Antetokounmpo!": Shannon Sharpe Makes Bold Claim About Lakers Star After 55-Point Performance

After a terrible start, the Los Angeles Lakers are finally living up to their potential. Having won eight of their last ten games, the Lakers have climbed to the 12th seed in the West. A big reason behind their recent success has been none other than their 29-year-old star, Anthony Davis.

After having dealt with injuries for a good chunk of the last two seasons, the Brow is finally back to playing like we know he can. Over the course of the last nine games, AD has put up tremendous numbers.

To top things off, Davis had a 55-point night against the Wizards last night.

This has silenced quite a few haters, and has even put AD in the talk for the MVP race this season.

Shannon Sharpe claims Anthony Davis is more skilled than Giannis Antetokounmpo

It is no secret that Anthony Davis is one of the most skilled big men in the NBA. His time in NOLA showed us all what AD is capable of, and all that he could achieve. Coming to LA, Davis won a championship in his first season with LeBron James. However, since then, it seemed like Davis fell out of love with the sport.

With his recent performances, the 6ft 10″ forward has silenced a lot of doubters. On the recent episode of Undisputed, Shannon Sharpe went as far as to claim AD is more skilled than 2x MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Sure, AD has been exceptional over the last nine games. However, to make such claims in front of a guy who has won two regular season MVPs, led his team to a championship as the first option, and won a Finals MVP? Shannon may be jumping the gun here.

Can AD win MVP?

After his recent performance, Sharpe isn’t the only one singing the MVP tune for the Lakers star. Lakers legend Magic Johnson feels the same way as well.

Even Stephen A Smith believes AD is now an MVP candidate.

However, for AD to win his first MVP honors, he’d need to keep this up consistently, and most importantly, stay healthy. We’ll just have to wait and see if the Lakers star can sustain that.
