"It's the media misleading the stats like that, which pisses me off": Blake Griffin clears the air about him not wanting to dunk with the Pistons

The Brooklyn Nets broke their voodoo against the Wizards last night, winning their game 113-106. Blake Griffin had the highlight of the game.

It’s been a long, long time since the former Clippers star dunked in an NBA game. As a matter of fact, it’s been a full year and 3 months since he did this. We’ve all been hoodwinked into believing that the 32-year-old is apparently washed.

I mean, who wouldn’t? Griffin has been out of the limelight since he injured his knee in the Pistons’ first-round series against the Bucks in May 2019. The man didn’t even attempt a dunk before joining the Nets for all of this season. And now he goes and does this:

“Blake Griffin hoodwinked us all”: Reactions to the Nets forward’s first dunk of the season

Griffin’s cameo appearance in the Nets’ first win of the season over Washington elicited all sorts of reactions. Some people were just plainly thankful to the basketball gods.

A few humorous ones out of us think that Griffin has bamboozled us on purpose to force his way to a playoff team. Or better yet, championship favorites like the Nets.

As usual, there were detractors as with every such case.

Griffin only had 2 points in this win by the Nets. But it’s clear that he still has some dynamite left in his arsenal.
