“Davis Bertans has been made available in trade talks”: Washington Wizards are reportedly seeking a trade for their sharpshooting big man
The Washington Wizards have made their best sharpshooter Davis Bertans available in trade talks, according to NBA insiders.
The Wizards struggled massively at the start of this season. Things have obviously changed since then for the franchise, but it seems the same doesn’t apply for Davis Bertans.
The role player hasn’t quite reached the heights of last season, and it shows. While his three-point percentage is at an impressive 38.2%, he is only shooting a measly 38.9% from the field.
Here is what the latest sources have reported on this story.

Davis Bertans could be on the move ahead of the NBA deadline as per reports by insiders
As previously mentioned, Davis Bertans isn’t having his best season. The Latvian was brought in to serve as a stretch big who is a positive factor on the defensive end. But Unfortunately for him and the franchise, the player hasn’t quite been good enough on either side of the floor this season.
Given how he has been performing, it only seemed like a matter of time for the Washington Wizards to try and offload him. And with the trade deadline coming up, the franchise is finally taking a step in that direction.
Due to the skillset of Davis Bertans, countless teams are expected to be in the market for him. Just some of the interested teams reported so far, are the Warriors, Raptors, Knicks, and the Pelicans.

The Wizards will also be looking to get a talented young player or even more than that in return. Judging by the young players they have at the moment, they might just be looking to build towards the future, while trying to win games right now as well.
There are quite a few possibilities for this trade in all honesty. But, only time will tell which one of them ends up becoming reality in the future.
