“Chris Paul Will Never Win Until He Says Sorry…”: Warriors Champion Pokes Fun At Suns Star After Playoff Exit
With the Phoenix Suns suffering a 4-2 series loss against the Denver Nuggets, Chris Paul passes yet another season without lifting the NBA championship. While many enthusiasts and analysts pity the Point God, Nick Young made it pretty clear that CP3 would continue to lose unless he apologized to all the “corner dudes” that he did wrong to over the years.
With the Arizona-based franchise adding Kevin Durant to a roster already consisting of Paul, Devin Booker, and Deandre Ayton, many expected the 2023 season to be the year where the point guard would win his first-ever title.
Despite the explosions by KD and D-Book, the 18-year veteran was an integral part of Monty Williams’ offense. However, an injury to the groin left him to be sidelined for Games 3-6, resulting in PHX’s loss.
Nick Young trolls Chris Paul after yet another postseason loss
With one of the longest active streaks of postseason appearances, Chris Paul has been to 13 straight playoffs. Apart from winning the conference championship merely once, none of these trips to the postseason have been fruitful.
Nick Young, a huge critic of the 12-time All-Star, sent out a tweet suggesting that the latter would continue to lose until he apologized to all the “corner dudes” he did wrong over the years.
Immediately after Nikola Jokic and co.’s win, the former NBA champ with the GSW tweeted:
Chris Paul will never win until he say sorry to all the corner dudes he did wrong over the yrs …

It is no secret that the pass-first player has been a pick-and-roll specialist. Due to his concentration on his teammates present in the paint, Paul would often neglect the players in the wings or the “corners”.
Young, who is also one of these “corner dudes” that has shared the court with the 5-time assists champ, has clearly expressed his frustrations while throwing subtle shade.
Young hated playing with CP3
During the 22 games that Nick shared the hardwood with CP3 during their stint with the Los Angeles Clippers, the 3-point specialist developed a strong aversion for the latter.
Years later, Swaggy P revealed why he hated playing with the 2006 Rookie of the Year. Stating how Chris would only pass the rock with about 1-2 seconds remaining on the shot clock, the 6-foot-7 sharpshooter revealed on UNINTERRUPTED’S Certified Buckets podcast:
“I hated when I played with Chris Paul, he would pass it to you at the last minute. He never wanted that turnover, or take that last shot. … He’d be like dribble, dribble, dribble and then he’d pass it to you with 1-2 seconds on the clock.“
That’s quite the problem, to say the least. And it is one that Paul may need to address as soon as possible.
