Dennis Rodman was raised by his single mother, Shirley, as his father wasn’t in the picture all throughout his childhood. Dennis, along with his two sisters, Debra and Kim, had to grow up faster than most children and teenagers their age due to this fact and had to take up jobs to support their family financially.

By the time Dennis had reached adulthood, his mother had kicked him out of the house as he wasn’t earning for the family. He would be forced to find odd jobs to support himself before he would eventually get drafted into the NBA by the Detroit Pistons in 1986.
The lifestyle he chose to indulge in after making it to the league was one that revolved solely around women, night outs, and alcohol. Along the way, he fathered three children and got married three times as well. His most recent marriage was to Michelle Moyer who divorced him and subsequently sued him for $850,000 for unpaid spousal and child support.

Dennis Rodman reveals just how selfish he was as a father
Due to his extravagant lifestyle, Dennis Rodman was never around to help raise his children. Rodman has been very self aware about the way he lives his life and during an interview with Adam22 four years ago on his ‘No Jumper’ podcast, revealed that he was a selfish father as well.
“I’m so sad about the fact that I’m so selfish about me. And not all the people can confess that about themselves as far as making money. I say it all the time that I’m so f**king selfish. I should take time out to try to be a father. It hurts a lot.”
Rodman has since been trying to become a more active part of his children’s lives, especially with his daughter Trinity Rodman.
Who are Rodman’s children?
Dennis Rodman has 3 children; Alexis Rodman, DJ Rodman, and Trinity Rodman. Alexis is who he had with his first wife, Annie Bakes but very little is known about her.
Trinity is currently signed to the Washington Spirit of the NSWL and also plays for the women’s national soccer team for the United States as well. Both her and DJ are Dennis and Michelle Moyer’s children. DJ is pursuing his basketball dream as a member of the Washington State Cougars.
