Richard Jefferson took apart Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe for insinuating that he’d pick Kevin Durant over LeBron James.

Skip and Shannon are two television characters who’ve grasped the game of baiting quotes from NBA players almost perfectly. Skip is famous for twisting any topic and making it about LeBron hate.
Shannon, on the other hand, will take offense to anything that seems to slight LeBron James, directly or indirectly. Shannon actually acts as if he’s the PR agent that LeBron’s never hired for himself.
Some of the things that he defends LeBron from – like this perceived dig by RJ – are plainly nonsensical. What RJ said the other day had nothing to do with LeBron vs KD and everything to do just with KD.
Kevin Durant is obviously the one player who destroyed RJ’s chances of going to back-to-back titles. He destroyed the parity of the league by joining the Golden State Warriors for 3 years.
There’s a ton of hate that KD deservingly gets, but it’s extremely hypocritical of LeBron fans to give him s**t for it. They are, of course, idolizing the player who normalized forming superteams in real life like NBA 2K.
Richard Jefferson taunts Skip and Shannon for misinterpreting his comment on Kevin Durant
Richard Jefferson has probably never dealt with needless BS in his life, and he probably doesn’t plan on doing so soon. That’s possibly the major reason why he was so disappointed with Skip and Shannon for completing taking his comments out of context.
But since he’s in sports broadcasting, RJ knows better than most people how talking heads clickbait people. That’s exactly what he talked about recently:
“That wasn’t my context or MY Translation, Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe. It’s crazy how people get to behave when you don’t have to look the athletes in the eyes.”
