“Look at Kevin Durant in the f***ing Western Conference Finals”: Shannon Sharpe seems shook by the Nets star while swearing on live TV on FS1 Undisputed
Shannon Sharpe launched a tirade about Kevin Durant and his true level of ability on Undisputed today. He erred by using some coarse slang.
There are a ton of people who would unironically call Kevin Durant a cupcake and a coward. They’re prepared to rag on a man who has 2 Finals MVPs, including 2 legendary game-winning performances in those series.
Durant makes it a ton easier to hate him by being outspoken, whether it be on social media or in real life. He’s now done a heel turn on his public persona from his first 9 seasons in OKC. Gone is the understated, much-loved superstar who always said all the right things.
Durant went from Steph levels of appreciation and adulation to becoming a more polarizing player than LeBron James. It truly speaks to people’s inability to comprehend modern free agency power moves made by the players.
He also adds gasoline to this dumpster fire by replying to people and roasting them on Twitter. Shannon Sharpe, however, wasn’t about to get into those mindgames – he blocked KD after their faceoff a couple of weeks ago.
Shannon Sharpe caught using swear word while talking about Kevin Durant
One of the talking points raised on today’s episode of Undisputed was regarding recent comments by Richard Jefferson. The former NBA champion and current Nets broadcaster went on record saying that ‘he feared KD on the Warriors’.
Sharpe, being a pedantic LeBron lover, began chastizing RJ for apparently picking KD’s side and backing him. To Shay, this was an act of betrayal by a former teammate.
While ragging on about this, Sharpe also talked about how KD messed up in the Western Conference Finals 2016. This was the time when the Thunder had blown a 3-1 lead before KD signed with Golden State. But in doing so, Shay messed up himself:
“Don’t look at Kevin Durant in the same f***ing Western Conference Finals.”
Shannon is definitely the type to be bothered by optics, so he won’t be feeling too full of himself with this slip-up. It can happen to the best of us.
