"Draymond Green, get better at shooting": Rudy Gobert likes tweet mocking Warriors star and asking him to get back to the gym

Jazz star Rudy Gobert takes a shot at Draymond Green, likes a tweet asking the Warriors’ forward to ‘go back to gym and practice shooting’

The Utah Jazz had a phenomenal regular season, after a slow start. The Jazz had started their season off on consecutive losses, and then flipped a switch. They went on to get the NBA’s best record this season, at 52-20. Rudy Gobert won his third DPOY honors.

The Jazz made quick work of the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round, finishing the series in five games. In the second round, they had a 2-0 lead on the Clippers. However, the Clippers found a way to fight back, and finished with 4 consecutive wins, to wrap the series in 6 games.

Rudy Gobert, despite being the league’s ‘top’ defender this year, was targetted over and over by the Clippers on the defensive end. In Game 6, a major share of the Clippers’ comeback baskets came against Gobert as the primary defender. The Clippers hit 15/19 of their shots in the 2nd half, with Gobert as the primary defender.

Rudy Gobert fires back at Draymond Green

Draymond Green is not one who is known to mince his words. Before the DPOY award was announced, Green had shared in an interview why he had the edge over his competitors. After Gobert and the Jazz had a meltdown, Green reshared the same, and doubled down on his take.

While Rudy Gobert did not directly get back to Green, he liked a reply on Green’s tweet. The reply read, “You should go to the gym, work on your offensive game and be better at shooting the fckn basketball instead of tweeting nonense shit like that.”

Green and Gobert have never really been friendly towards each other, but these moves are making things just graver. It would be fun to see if this beef sparks some new rivalries in the upcoming seasons.
