Fans Think LeBron James is the 'Prominent Player' That Said, 'Let Them B*tch and Complain' Quote Against the Warriors

LeBron James and the Lakers have a 3-1 series lead and will be going into game 5 with the opportunity to close this one out. Of course, the Warriors aren’t too happy about this whole situation, with Steve Kerr even calling out the officials for giving the Lakers soft calls. However, as per a recent Chris Haynes report, a ‘prominent Lakers player’ has fired right back.

The players from both teams are known to be friends with each other off the court. However, as each game has passed by, they seem to have grown more and more sick of each other. And so, with all the tensions higher than either team ever expected them to be, Steve Kerr said something quite spurring to say the least. Take a look at the short YouTube clip by NBA on ESPN.

Of course, one of the Lakers players came right back at him. Dennis Schroder responded to Steve Kerr’s claims with the following statement on a live stream with Adin Ross.

“If they set illegal screens, sometimes you gotta show them that they are moving on the screen. If you don’t do it, they’re not gonna call it”

Overall, not the atmosphere you’d call the most harmonic, is it. And yet, somehow it recently got far worse after a Chris Haynes report just hours before the game.

Chris Haynes’ report, and who the fans claim it is

Chris Haynes has been known to be close to some of the best players in the NBA. So, in many ways, the man is more of an insider on NBA drama than anyone could ever dream of being.

Before the start of Game 5, he decided to text a ‘prominent Lakers player’ what they felt about Steve Kerr’s complaints on the officials. And the answer was beyond a delicious one. Take a look at the tweet by Lakers Spin below.

“Let them bitch and complain”

Do you smell that? There seems to be a hint of parsley in the scent, some onions on the side, paired with the flavor of some good old animosity. Nothing to make this all-time series taste even better than it does already.

That said, who do the fans think this ‘prominent’ player is? Well, some fans, like to believe that it is Dennis Schroder, like ‘Elii (Happy Heat Fan)’.

We will say, this is likely due to what Schroder said earlier on the matter too. However, the others, like ‘Meloismybabbydaddy’ believe that it may be LeBron James.

At the end of the day, it is hard to say who it really is. However, no matter who said it, if the Lakers let this comment outside their locker room, it is likely that they all feel the same way. And given that the Warriors have heard it already, it’s likely that engines are not only fired up but revving at the moment.

Ahead of this potential closeout game 5, things have come a boiling on both sides of this series.
