Jamal Murray lets reporters know how he’s been able to stay focused on the game-“These shoes give me life”.

Jamal Murray, for the past few days, has made it very clear that he wants justice for the unjust murders of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor.
The Adidas athlete had custom Adidas shoes made in honour of Floyd and Taylor. Murray commenced his media availability on August 30th, by placing the customized shoes on his chair for 2 minutes, as a statement.
Jamal Murray started his media availability today by setting his custom shoes on his stool for the first two minutes or so. They simply sat there, alone, in silence, in the frame.

Jamal Murray gets emotional during his postgame interview.
In the postgame interview after Game 6 against the Utah Jazz, the emotional 23 year old gives us a heart warming reason as to how he continues to stay focused on playing basketball while also concentrating on social reform.
Murray is quoted saying,” We’ve been trying to fight for 400 years,” in reference to the racial injustice African-American face to this day.

When asked about his shoes, the Denver Nuggets star says, “These shoes give me life. Even though these people are gone, they give me strength.”
The interview has to be one of the most powerful moments from the Bubble, with a young star not taking the opportunity to talk about his historic performance and rather using his platform to spread a message about social injustice.

Jamal Murray’s has another 50 point game in Game 6 tonight
The budding superstar has not shown any signs of slowing down since dropping 50 in Game 4. Murray dropped another 50 bomb tonight as he simply could not miss from beyond the arc, hitting 9 of 12 of his 3s. This included 2 crucial ones late in the game to seal the game for the Nuggets.

Murray was seen looking quite exhausted and gassed following his postgame interview as he took a breather in the tunnel leading back to the locker rooms.

It will now be interesting to see how the Nuggets turn up during Game 7 of the series against Utah, after having turned things around in the last two games.
