Giannis Antetokounmpo produced the greatest close-out game performance of this century yesterday, and Shaquille O’Neal is suitably impressed.

The Milwaukee Bucks have finished off a 50-year NBA championship drought with a 4-2 series win over the Phoenix Suns. They registered 4 wins on the bounce after the Suns took Games 1 and 2 of the Finals at home.
It was a hard-fought series, with each of the Bucks’ last 3 wins coming by single-digit margins. The Suns had the opportunity to take all 3 of those games with less than 3 minutes to go in each. But Giannis’ presence on the floor ensured wins for Milwaukee in those contests.
The Greek Freak had a game-saving block on a Deandre Ayton alley-oop late in Game 4. He backed that up with a crazy and-1 alley-oop set up by Jrue Holiday in Game 5. But the best performance of his life came last night as Antetokounmpo battered the Suns’ defense into submission.
It was a truly dominant display of offensive brawn by the 26-year-old. Giannis finished the night with 50 points, 14 boards and 5 blocks to his name. He also converted a whopping 17 of his 19 free throws, ending those very demons that were exacerbated against Brooklyn.
At the end of the day, it was a vintage performance all through the playoffs from the most physically dominant basketball player on the planet. The Suns just couldn’t handle all of this smoke.
Shaquille O’Neal calls Giannis ‘Superman’ once again after his first championship win
The 3-time Finals MVP took to Instagram and Twitter to pass on some congratulatory messages for the Greek Freak. Giannis has only got 1 major nickname going for him at the moment – the one used in the previous sentence.
Bucks announcers have called Giannis ‘The Alphabet’ in the past on account of his extremely long surname. Shaq has been trying for a while to get the ‘Superman’ moniker going for the 2-time MVP. It seems that this post is just another attempt to that end.
“Congratulations @giannis_an34 thanks for bringing olde school bully basketball back. It’s only one Superman now and that’s you. Damn you was dominating. Wow.”
