Having Donated $15,000, Shaquille O’Neal Remodeled A Van To Help Deliver Meals To Seniors

Shaquille O’Neal has always been a kindhearted man. Kevin Garnett said it best when he said that the NBA was lucky that Shaq was raised right because if he wasn’t, at his stature, he could’ve caused a whole lot of pain for a lot of people.

Shaq’s generosity stems from the fact that he believes he has too much and that one person should not have as much as he does. While he is an incredible businessman and has mastered the art of passive income, he’s also apt at giving a chunk of his $400 million net worth away to people and organizations who need it more than he does.

Both him and his NBAonTNT co-host, Charles Barkley, are quite the generous duo as they continually give back to their respective communities.

Shaquille O’Neal donates $15,000 and remodels a van

During the COVID-19 pandemic, ‘Meals on Wheels’ took off as they looked to feed senior citizens who weren’t capable of affording food for themselves consistently. Shaquille O’Neal saw this initiative and was instantly enamored by it.

He would go on to donate $15,000 to the cause and in the midst of doing so, realized that one of the company’s vans that was being used to donate and transport the meals wasn’t in great condition. So, he would spend more money out of his pocket to help renovate the van so as to keep the number of meals being delivered at a steady number.

This wasn’t the first time Shaq dug deep into his own pocket to help out a small business and it most certainly wasn’t his last either.

Shaquille O’Neal has sound business advice for anybody who wants to listen

Shaquille O’Neal always said that he never wanted to be the smartest man in the room. If he felt like he was the smartest man in a room filled with people who are meant to be his advisors then he felt like he was doing something wrong.

His other piece of advice was to always invest in an idea that you believe in. This is quite obvious but he more so meant it in terms of following an idea that could lead to something more than just passive income.
