Having 'Jokingly' Threatened Shaquille O’Neal with a Knife on TNT, Candace Parker Gets Excited to See Lakers Legend at the Aces Game

During his time as an analyst on TNT, Shaquille O’Neal grew close to WNBA star Candace Parker. The two popular hosts of NBA on TNT have given us numerous entertaining episodes, alongside the likes of Dwyane Wade, Adam Lefkoe, and Jamal Crawford. After taking a year off, Parker made her WNBA comeback by joining forces with 2022 MVP A’ja Wilson in Las Vegas. During the Aces’ recent game against the Seattle Storm, Shaq was one of the many in attendance to support his good friend. And after seeing the Big Man sitting courtside Parker just couldn’t contain her excitement.

Shaq and Parker often pull each other’s legs both on and off-camera on the sets of TNT. Despite the Big Aristotle being 7-foot-1, it is the two-time WNBA Most Valuable Player who is regarded to be the bigger bully. In one of his anecdotes, the Lakers legend hilariously revealed that the two-time WNBA champ threatened him with a butter knife after he refused to honor a bet.

Despite being trolled by the WNBA star regularly, the Hall-Of-Famer graced the Las Vegas Aces with his presence in their latest clash.

NBA Twitter reacts as Shaquille O’Neal sits courtside during Candace Parker’s game

The in-form Aces played their 10th game of the regular season tonight. Playing against the Storm, the star-studded Nevada side grabbed a huge 96-63 victory. As the Aces recorded their 9th win of the season, O’Neal was among the many who were present in the crowd, watching Parker lodge a decent 7-point, 4-rebound, 6-assist outing.

After the final buzzer went off, the 6-foot-4 forward couldn’t control her emotions seeing the Diesel sitting courtside. As seen in Bleacher Report’s tweet, she jumped on the four-time NBA Champion, giving him a nice and warm bear hug.

As the two shared a wholesome moment together, NBA Twitter blew up with reactions.

Several fans couldn’t exclaim how heartwarming the incident was.

Other users lauded the chemistry the two share.

Playing in her 16th year in the WNBA, the future Hall-Of-Famer has been averaging 8 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 3.2 assists.

Losing a bet to Parker, Shaq grew out his baby hair

Earlier this year, Shaq lost a bet to Candace Parker. As a result, the 2000 Most Valuable Player had to ‘grow out’ his baby hair. As hilarious as it looked, a man of his word, O’Neal complied with the terms of the bet.

One of the most comical characters in the NBA community, the 51-year-old never fails to keep us entertained. It is moments like these that make the Inside the NBA show a huge hit among its viewers.
