Michael Porter Jr posterizes Montrezl Harrell

Michael Porter Jr. takes off and ferociously dunks it all over Montrezl Harrell, literally knocking Harrell off his feet there.

Los Angeles Clippers big man Montrezl Harrell was just named Sixth Man of the Year for the 2019-20 season. He showed great strides in his offensive and especially, defensive game.

This however meant nothing to the Denver Nuggets sophomore, Michael Porter Jr.

Michael Porter Jr. posterizes Montrezl Harrell

Michael Porter Jr. has been sensational throughout these NBA Bubble games. During the seeding games, Denver Nuggets wings, Gary Harris and Will Barton were out due to injuries and Porter Jr. was asked to step up off the bench.

Porter Jr. used this opportunity to showcase his skills to the entire world by doing it all on offense. Porter Jr. has a great 3 ball, a sweet touch around the rim and a decent mid-range to add to that too.

The most underrated aspect of his game has to be his explosiveness and he put that all out on display as put the reigning Sixth man of the year on a monstrous poster.

This caused NBA Twitter to go ballistic, with numerous pages posting the throw-down on their accounts.

Michael Porter Jr.’s father, who played college basketball in New Orleans, is in attendance at this Game 3 and he had a hilariously stoic reaction to his son’s incredible play.

Are we witnessing Michael Porter Jr.’s ascension into NBA stardom?

It should honestly not come as a surprise that the All NBA Bubble team member has been thriving in his increased role with the Nuggets. After all, he was the number 1 ranked high school senior in his class of 2017.

The only reason he fell to 14 in the 2018 draft is because of his persistent back problems.

Porter Jr. is healthy now though, and is showing the league that he belongs in the upper echelon of NBA players.
