The Portland Trail Blazers gave a good fight against the Denver Nuggets but it was not enough as Terry Stotts’ men crashed out of the NBA playoffs after losing Game 6. The series ended 4-2 in the favour of the Nuggets and it brought an end to another season of disappointment for Damian Lillard and the Blazers.
Lillard had an exceptional series and the way he started this game it looked like the Blazers will level the series and force Game 7. However, Portland failed to keep up their consistency and they lost their early lead coming into the fourth quarter. The Blazers could only score 14 points
However, with Nikola Jokic dropping a game high 36 points along with 6 assists and 8 boards and Michael Porter Jr. and Monte Morris being the perfect supporting cast, the Blazers simply could not find a way back in the game in the fourth quarter.
Damian Lillard raises alarm on his Blazers future with Instagram post
It was a frustrating loss for the Blazers and also for Lillard who had a historic series. Dame Dolla became the fourth player in NBA history to end a Playoffs series with 200 points and 60 assists.
He joins the elite list which includes LeBron James, Oscar Robertson and Jerry West. Lillard is the only player on this list to have achieved the feat in only six matches.

Therefore he was visibly disappointed with the result and came up with a cryptic Instagram post which raised multiple eyebrows. Fans started to question his frame of mind and also his future with the Blazers.
“How long should I stay dedicated? How long til opportunity meet preparation,” he wrote in his caption, which are lyrics from a Nipsey Hussle song. The frustration in the caption is very evident and hence fans are coming to the conclusion that this might be the ice breaker for Lillard to leave Portland in search of a new challenge.
However, the topic is completely blown out of proportion as it is just an Instagram post where Lillard expressed his frustration after losing a nail biting series. Only the future will tell whether the point guard will continue to lead the Blazers or not.
It will be a very crucial off season for Portland as they will look to add valuable pieces to help the six-time NBA All-Star. It is time for Portland to make the moves as they have crashed out of the first round for the fifth time in eight seasons.
