“I can’t wait for the trade news today”: Ben Simmons’ sister tweets about Philadelphia 76ers next offseason move

Ben Simmons’ sister Olivia Simmons posted a rather strange tweet which could correlate to moves the Sixers could make this offseason.

The Philadelphia 76ers had an abysmal 2019-20 NBA season to say the least. After acquiring Al Horford and Josh Richardson, the Sixers were chosen by many to reach the NBA Finals.

This didn’t go according to plan however as the Sixers collapsed in the playoffs due to Ben Simmons suffering an injury. They were swept by the Celtics in the 1st round.

This 2020 offseason has been a great one for the 76ers as Daryl Morey took over and brought on players that would compliment Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid’s playstyle.

Olivia Simmons tweets out in regards to the Sixers’ offseason moves.

The Sixers have been quite active in this offseason. Their number priority was to offload off of Al Horford’s massive contract, which they did by sending him to the Thunder for Danny Green.

With most free agents having gone off the market, the 76ers don’t have much wiggle room to try to lure a solid rotation piece to Philly.

However, Olivia Simmons, Ben Simmons’ sister tweeted out in anticipation of what else this offseason holds.

It was immediately speculated that her brother Ben Simmons could be involved in a trade. She shut it down however as she said, ‘Nobody wants to hear anything on a Monday. Relax guys.”

Is there a trade out there for Ben Simmons?

The only trade rumor Simmons has been involved in, that actually gained traction, was a move that would’ve sent James Harden to Philly.

The trade package the Sixers would’ve given the Rockets would be centered around Simmons, along with a boatload of draft picks. This hypothetical trade is nothing but a rumor however.
