The Los Angeles Lakers are back in the playoffs! The defending NBA world champions have beaten the Golden State Warriors in the marquee play-in games match-up. The Lakers won the game 103-100 and would be heading to Phoenix soon for their first-round playoff matchup. The game was an overall close affair, with a desperation heave shot and some defense sealing the deal. The Lakers trio of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Dennis Schroder came alive in the second half, after shooting a combined 4/26 in the first half. AD led the way with his 25 points and 12 rebounds. LBJ recorded 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assist triple-double.
For the Warriors, Stephen Curry was his usual spectacular self, as he scored a game-high 37 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Andrew Wiggins scored 21 points as well, and Draymond Green led the team with his defensive intensity.
“I went for the middle one”: LeBron James
At the 2.07 mark of the 4th quarter, LeBron James drove and attempted to lay in a bucket over Draymond Green. Green put his hands up to contest but ended up getting LBJ on the face instead. After being inspected for a flagrant foul, it was found that the contact wasn’t intentional, and was ruled a common foul.

After the foul LeBron James got eye drops and showed signs of vision impairment for the rest of the game. Even after hitting his dagger 3 to seal the game, he was seen mouthing “I can’t even see” to Stephen Curry. After the game ended, James in the post-game interview mentioned the same and said he was seeing things thrice ever since that foul.
“After Draymond’s finger to the eye, I was literally seeing 3 rims out there … I (went for) the middle one.”

Three rims or not, LBJ sealed the deal for the defending champions. They would now be heading to Phoenix to play CP3 and his Suns. As for the Warriors, we would see a re-match of previous Sunday’s game on Friday, for the final spot in the playoffs.
