At this point, it seems like the GOAT debate has been around forever. And frankly, that is because the truth is just that. NBA fans across the globe absolutely love arguing with the world, debating that their pick is truly the greatest player to ever pick up a basketball.

And among a sea of other players, Michael Jordan and LeBron James have emerged as just about the unanimous picks for the top 2 in the GOAT conversation. But, it appears that if you asked Trace McGrady, there is another player that he considers a little bit of a shoo-in.

Tracy McGrady would cut LeBron James if he could keep Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant on his team

More specifically, he would start Michael Jordan, and bench Kobe Bryant, as he explains in the YouTube clip below.

Frankly, this is a little bit of a hot take, to say the least. However, to be fair to the man, his bias is hardly a secret.

The man was best friends in Kobe Bryant for a long, long time. They had countless different experiences in the NBA today.

In fact, we’d like to highlight a very specific one, that came out in a famous interview with Rachel Nichols.

Trace McGrady wasn’t keeping score, but Kobe Bryant sure was

Kobe Bryant’s willingness to make everything a competition is what made him such an inspiration to his fans across the globe. But apparently, it was also what made him hilariously annoying to his friends in the NBA.
