Mark Cuban was engaging in a Q&A session on Web Summit 2020. When asked whether he’d pick MJ or LeBron, he had very diplomatic answers.

The MJ-LeBron GOAT debate is something that all of media and basketball fans have consumed rabidly over the last 4 years or so. It refuses to die down at all, and LeBron’s 4th championship with the Lakers has reignited it at new levels. Every single day, people are moving over from the MJ side to the LeBron side.
Mark Cuban on if he’d want LeBron or Jordan
“If I want a killer who can make the shot at the end of the game, I want MJ. If I want someone who will make everyone on the team better, I want LeBron.”

Mark Cuban with the politically correct answer to the GOAT Debate
Mark Cuban isn’t one to fall for this sort of bait. When asked about who he would pick, Cuban broke the question down into two scenarios so he could pick both of them.
“If I want a killer who can make the shot at the end of the game, I’ll choose MJ. If I want someone who will make everyone on the team better, I’ll choose LeBron.”

Egging him on further to reveal his true intentions only led to him evading the question better.
“Well seeing as MJ’s like 60 years old I’ll choose LeBron.”
Cuban is easily one of the NBA’s most recognizable owners apart from His Airness, Michael Jordan, himself. He knows fully well that he doesn’t want to be needlessly drawn into controversy. One would privately suspect that he still prefers MJ, seeing as he said Jordan would average 40 points per game if he played today.
Nevertheless, the responses we got from him were truly entertaining.
