"If LeBron James Was Never Alive That Song Won't Be Out": $7 Million Worth Rapper Credits Lakers Star For “Hard In Da Paint”

Athletes become an inspiration to most individuals, irrespective of the sport they play. Especially the likes of Muhammad Ali, Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Tom Brady, Roger Federer, and so on.

Talking about LeBron James, the ‘Kid from Akron’ not only lived up to the greatest hype any athlete ever received before even turning 18 but 20 years on, is still playing like he is in his 20s.

The man has inspired people of all ages, genders, and professions by being a once-in-a-generation basketball player, a perfect family man, and a tremendous businessman with over $1 Billion net worth.

Not to forget, he is probably the greatest social and cultural icon among basketball players since Bill Russell. And when you are that big, you have songs written about you.

Waka Flocka Flame credits LeBron James for “Hard in da Paint”

Waka Flocka Flame was a big cultural influencer in the late 2000s. His records were everywhere. From the clubs to the streets, everyone rocked with his music, the dreadlocks, and overall fashion and lifestyle.

With his first studio album ‘Flokaveli’, Flocka Flame suddenly became one of the biggest names in the music industry. Now enjoying the royalty from all his records and an estimated $7 million net worth, the man who himself believes his rap game is “sh*t”, recently came down to Shannon Sharpe’s podcast Club Shay Shay and talked about every aspect of his life.

He talked about how he considered himself “LeBron James of the streets” and the most hit song of Flokaveli, “Hard in da Paint”, was inspired by the then up-and-coming icon of the NBA, LeBron Raymone James.

“Hard in the Paint was inspired by LeBron James. If LeBron was never alive that song will never be out,” said Waka Flocka Flame.

LeBron has been an inspiration to the world for two decades

You perform at the grandest stage of any professional sport for a decade at the level LeBron James has, you become a legend of that sport.

You do that for 20 straight years with no major injuries in a game that wrecks your knees and ankles, you are among the rarest.

And to top that, if you are still maintaining the level at which you came in, you’re among the GOATs. Nobody has done it the way James is doing it. He is not slowing down before he calls it a day.
