LeBron James posted yet another self-congratulatory image on social media, this one dedicated to his scoring exploits over the years.

King James has solidly cemented himself as a consensus top-2 player of all time at worst. Through 18 seasons in the league, James has been one of the dominant forces in league history.

His ability to be a one-man, heliocentric offense all by himself is arguably the greatest in league history. James was hyped up as the heir to Michael Jordan – the Chosen One of the NBA. And it’s safe to say that he’s made good on all of that potential and more.

Another thing that sets James apart from other all-time greats is that he’s never afraid to promote himself. James is always ready to talk himself up and has several times stated his belief that he’s the GOAT.

This is a refreshing attitude for an all-time great to have. It’s certainly preferable to faking humility about things that concern you and that you have strong opinions about.

LeBron James posts self-congratulatory message after adding another 25 ppg season

Stat Muse reported yesterday that LeBron has notched up a scoring average in excess of 25 points per game for the 17th consecutive time in his career this season.

This run dates back to when he was a second-year player with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He’s since won 2 scoring titles, 4 MVPs, been to 10 NBA Finals and won 4 of those. And he’s now 36 years old. But James has managed to stave off Father Time for yet another year.

This is the message that James posted across social media this afternoon:

“Since I was 19 years old! And I’m a pass first guy. Always been. That’s why I’m never mentioned with the greats of scoring huh?? That’s perfect cause I’d rather keep it that way!”

It’s lovely that James hasn’t made a Zero Dark Twenty-Three reference for the playoffs yet. We’d like these periodic declarations coming on our feeds from time to time.
