Is Anthony Davis playing tonight vs Grizzlies? Lakers release Achilles injury report ahead of game against Ja Morant and co

Lakers star Anthony Davis playing tonight against the Grizzlies would be a game-time decision, as he recovers from an Achilles injury.

The Los Angeles Lakers are cruising along their regular season, with a 20-6 record. They are currently on a six-game win streak. The homestand has not been easy for the Lakers, despite recording a win in each of the games.

In the game against the Nuggets, the Lakers were down double digits at the half and had to restrict the Nuggets to just 35 points in the second half to win. They went to double overtime against the Pistons, who are the worst team in the league, record-wise.

The Lakers played their last two games without Anthony Davis, and both of the games went to overtime. They suit up tonight to face the Grizzlies for the final game of their homestand, before traveling to Denver to face the Nuggets.

Is Anthony Davis playing tonight?

Anthony Davis missed the last two games against the Thunder due to Achilles tendinosis. The Lakers have the 2nd best record in the league as of now and sit just .5 games behind the Jazz.

Anthony Davis, after the practice yesterday said that he feels good, but his availability tonight depends on how he feels today.

The Lakers have been very cautious with the approach they are taking to Anthony Davis and his Achilles soreness. They hope to win back-to-back titles, and having a healthy Anthony Davis would be a significant factor in those aspirations.

The Lakers, with their current record and roster, can afford to rest AD for a few more games, and let him return when he feels his 100%. In his absence, Kyle Kuzma and Markieff Morris have stepped up and made big contributions.
