In the latest snapshot of the Jordan-Isiah Thomas animosity, the latter anointed LeBron James as the greatest of all time.

Over the past 3 years, Isiah Thomas has named Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, LeBron James, Larry Bird and even Magic Johnson as his GOATs. According to Thomas, Jordan was not even a top 5 threat to his team on its championship runs. The antagonism between him and MJ is probably at an all-time high.
A Pistons legend and a top-5 point guard in the history of the game, Thomas is quite qualified to comment on the GOAT debate. He did exactly that in his appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s Shay Shay podcast yesterday.
Isiah Thomas compares LeBron James to Bo Jackson while calling him the GOAT
Given how dominant LeBron is physically, Isiah found it obligatory to put him alongside possibly the most talented athlete in American history. Bo Jackson is the only player to receive All-Star honours in two Major League sports. Many have speculated whether LeBron would have been a natural fit on an NFL team as well.
“Imagine if Bo Jackson had stayed healthy and kept getting better. That’s LeBron James.”
According to Thomas, the legend of LeBron James already surpasses that of Michael Jordan.
“We have never seen a player like this in the NBA. He (LeBron) breaks a record every single night just to remind you you’ve never seen anything like this before. When it’s all said and done, it’s going to be hard for people to look back and say ‘He (LeBron) wasn’t the best.’”

Thomas says that in 10 years, there will be little doubting James’s status as the greatest basketball player of all time. A known LeBron stan, Shannon Sharpe gleefully agreed with Isiah at every juncture on their podcast.
The GOAT debate is a murky one in basketball. While most people still lean on Jordan’s side, the number of fans crossing over to the LeBron faction has increased to a big number following his win with the Lakers this year. Perhaps Isiah is right – James will be viewed as the greatest after his retirement
