"Ja Morant's Suffering From a Lot of Childhood Trauma": $2,000,000 Worth Rapper Dissects Grizzlies' Star's Gun Problems, Blames $39,619,840 Salary

Ja Morant is set to lose a lot of money next season with the Memphis Grizzlies. Morant signed a massive five-year, $192 million contract extension with the Grizzlies recently. However, due to his notorious social media activities, the All-Star player has been suspended for 25 games by the team for the next season. For the second time within two months, Ja was seen flaunting a gun in his Instagram live video. $2,000,000 net worth rapper Chingy recently sat down with VladTV and spoke about Morant’s condition. Chingy said that despite Morant’s extravagant earnings from his NBA salary, which is roughly $39,619,840 by now, the star player is unable to let go of his hood life. Chingy said that it is okay to let go of the hood if it serves your kids and family.

Ja received a massive backlash not only from the NBA community but also from people outside it. He has twice violated the league’s firearm policy despite facing an eight-game suspension for his first video. Now facing his 25-game suspension, he is not only going to lose money exponentially, but it might also cost his team a lot in the regular season.

Rapper Chingy says Ja Morant is suffering from childhood trauma and is asking for help

Speaking to VladTV, Chingy said that Morant has been unable to take his hood lifestyle with him to his new lifestyle. Moreover, the Grizzlies star, according to the rapper, is unable to understand that in order to lead a peaceful family life, with that amount of money, it is important to let go of the past hood lifestyle. Here is what Chingy said:

Sometimes you can take the young kid out the hood but you can’t take the hood out of them… to be successful and really want to make it, establish some kind of wealthy content lifestyle for yourself. Where your kid and your family don’t have to worry about nothing.”

Moreover, Chingy also commented that Morant has suffered childhood trauma that he is unable to let go of. The Jackpot singer also added that Morant might be asking for help. So, rather than criticizing the young player, people need to help.

“That guy need to read The Myth of Normal that deals with trauma and illness by Gabir Mate, because he [Ja Morant] is suffering from a lot of childhood trauma and he is just displaying it on camera. He got trauma issues to deal with. He is asking for help.”

Perhaps Chingy is right. Morant is just 23 years old and one of the most explosive players in the league. He is considered to become the face of the league in the future. Handling that massive fame can get out of hand at times for his age.

Kyrie Irving and NBA community extend support to Morant amidst gun controversy

Since Morant’s involvement in the gun controversy, the NBA community has extended its support to the young superstar. When he was suspended for the first time for eight games, head coach Tyler Jenkins extended support for Ja. His teammates Jaren Jackson Jr., Desmond Bane, and Tyus Jones came out in support of their star player. Recently, Dallas Mavericks superstar Kyrie Irving came to his support.

He said that players like Ja are struggling with real-life circumstances, and he is with him in the fight. Former NBA player Stephen Jackson also said that the Grizzlies should support Morant and bring him out of the trouble the 23-year-old is facing. Hopefully, Ja learns his lesson and develops into a superstar that fans find in him.
