Jasmine Jordan 1s: An Ode To Woman folk, In Michael Jordan's Least Favorite Color

Michael Jordan is a competitive man first and a father next. This man has earned more than a billion dollars selling shoes with his silhouette on them and has only recently allowed the color green to appear on them. Until Macklemore came out with his Green Jordan 6s, the color rarely made its way onto the roster.

But there have been exceptions, like the Oregon PEs and the Manila 4s. However, one pair that hasn’t caught the eye of many is the “Jasmine Jordan 1s.” The main reason for that is that the shoe is exclusively for friends and family. How do you check the authenticity of that claim? P.J. Tucker does not have these in his closet.

Jasmine Jordan, Michael Jordan’s daughter, debuted a version of the sneaker in 2015, to little fanfare. The sneaker market was flooded with more famous collaborations, like Kanye West and Supreme.

These shoes, however, go toe to toe with them. The crocodile leather green shoe with gold accents deserves more praise after 8 years.

A closer look at the Jasmine Jordan 1 gives an insight into the thought process behind the sneaker – Michael Jordan must be proud of his daughter

Jasmine’s original PEs had white midsoles, which were period correct for sneakers of the time. Looking similar to the textures of the Nike Air Yeezy 2s, the overall shoe gave off the vibe of a Supreme Nike Blazer meets Air Yeezys.

The Filipinos love the shoe because it reminds them of another shoe, the Manila 4. Magagandang sapatos, mga . But they’re also sobrang mahal.  We do not get many green shoes of this caliber, but this one should remain an FnF.

Sepatu eksklusif mendapatkan status legendaris (Exclusive shoes get legendary status). Bigboy Cheng may have a lot of shoes, but this one—let it be mythical.

The effort Jasmine Jordan put into creating these shoes shows black excellence of the highest order. The effort she put in to curate the exact textures and elements to complement her design process. Ladies have experience with this level of intricacy – their handbags are pieces of art.

The Jasmine Jordan 1s are no different – a piece of art so rare, that it remains that – just art.

Michael Jordan may hate the color green, but cannot say no to daddy’s princess. And we all thank him for it.

Sneaker Brands should do more than just go to photoshop and adjust the hues for the “girliest” colors

Women’s Air Jordan shoes are a rarity; they never get any cool exclusive colors. Even if they do, they provide extended sizing so that the men can also get their hands on it. And pure women’s sneakers come in dainty pink, sunrise orange, or a slew of uninspiring colors. Who said women’s sneakers have to look excessively feminine?

Jordan Brand, Nike, and the rest of the manufacturers should begin to realize that not all women want their feet to look like the end of a rainbow. Nor do they want their feet to sparkle like a chandelier when they’re in the gym. Give them exclusive shoes as the one Jasmine Jordan aspired for—a classy way to reward their excellence.
