Jimmy Butler Once Admitted To Having A $200,000+ Collection Of Wine In His Possession

Jimmy Butler has always been a simple man. When asked by Carmelo Anthony what he was up to during the 2020 quarantine, he claimed that he genuinely had been doing nothing but working out and drinking wine. During the time that the 2019-20 NBA season was suspended because of COVID, there was nothing much else that one could do other than indulge in home workouts and sustenance.

Butler’s affection towards wine began a couple years after he had joined the NBA. It was Mark Wahlberg in 2013 who actually got him hooked onto wine when he was with the Chicago Bulls. Even to this day the two remain close friends with one another.

There are several players across the league who have their alcohol of choice that they prefer. Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade, and LeBron James are all incredibly fond of wine with James actually having his own tequila company, Lobos.

Jimmy Butler has over 500 bottles of his favorite wine stored

Jimmy Butler went live with Carmelo Anthony on Instagram 3 years ago during the quarantine to talk about their favorite wines and what they like to drink when they’re in the mood. Butler revealed that the first wine he ever got introduced to as a 21-year-old was the one he still drinks to this day.

“Legit, Sassicaia. I got more Sassicaia 2010 than any other type of wine in my collection. I’m not overexaggerating when I say I probably have anywhere between 500 and 600 bottles of just Sassicaia 2010,” said Butler.

2010 was the first wine he drank besides Mad Dog 2020 and he’s stuck with it all these years. each bottle of Sassicaia 2010 goes for around $400 on average, depending on what sites you visit. This would mean his collection is worth between $200,000 and $240,000.

Jimmy Butler is torching the NBA in the 2023 Playoffs

The two things Jimmy Butler did in quarantine were work out and drink wine. Seems as though the former of those two activities has paid off as he’s been playing like the best player in the NBA during these 2023 NBA Playoffs.

He averaged over 37 points in the first round against the one-seeded Milwaukee Bucks while shooting over 60% from the field. he led the Heat to a Game 1 win over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden despite rolling his ankle as well.
